XID Technologies, a Singapore-based facial-recognition company, has joined the Games Exchange Alliance (GXA). XID's "Play With Your Face" technology enhances personalization of the in-game experience and is designed to grow along with the gaming industry, especially the social gaming genre. XID has just made personalized, animated 3-D avatars available for download on its FaceTheater Website, www.facetheater.com.

"By joining GXA, XID gains valuable insight into understanding the market needs of hardware technology, the interactive entertainment, game design and personalization, in the rapidly expanding electronic gaming market," explains Francois Belot, marketing director for XID.

GXA is a platform for gaming community experts in Singapore to discuss new research results, future industry developments and innovative applications relevant to game development and related areas.
