ION Audio has released Drum Rocker ($299.99), a drum set for the Rock Band 2 videogame. The unit is adjustable and configurable, with drum and cymbal pads mounted individually on a professional aluminum drum rack.
Drum Rocker features four drum pads, each of which hosts a very quiet playing surface. The pad housings are made of high-impact plastic. Drum and cymbal pads are both velocity-sensitive, enabling drummers to play at varying levels of intensity, with corresponding volume levels from the game.
Two color-assignable cymbal pads are included, offering the same benefits as the drum pads. Drum Rocker can be expanded with a third color-assignable cymbal and mounting hardware for an MSRP of $49.99.
Drum Rocker for Xbox 360 will be available September 14. Models for use with PlayStation 3 and Wii gaming systems are planned for release later in 2008. The drum set is backward-compatible with the original Rock Band game.
