Puget Systems, a boutique integrator of custom PC systems, announced that its newly launched, high-performance gaming system, Deluge-ii, is being offered with Intel's new dual-processor-based gaming and media creation platform, code-named "Skulltrail," a dual-socket extreme desktop platform, which will be launched at this week's GDC.

Skulltrail features two quad-core Intel Core2 Extreme QX9775 processors and the Intel Desktop Board D5400XS, which features four PCI Express x16 Gen 1.1 slots with support for up to four graphics cards. Deluge features overclocked Intel 45nm Penryn processors, and is now optimized to take advantage of the significant performance gains provided by the Skulltrail platform in a custom, liquid-cooled enclosure, designed specifically with Intel for this platform.
