The MusiCares Foundation was established in 1989 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to provide support for musicians during times of financial, personal, or medical crisis; its primary purpose is to focus the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community. The foundation's programs include emergency financial assistance, addiction recovery, outreach and leadership activities, and senior housing.
Donations allow MusiCares to continue providing critical health and human services to music people of all walks of life; for more information, visit www.grammy.com/MusiCares.
