Porcupine Tree, Fear of a Blank Planet
The ninth studio release by Brit prog rockers Porcupine Tree, Fear of a Blank Planet was released in a limited-edition DVD-A on the band’s own Transmission imprint, featuring the mixes in MLP lossless 5.1 surround, DTS 5.1 and 24-bit stereo. It also includes all four tracks from the Nil Recurring mini-album in surround, as well as three video works directed by Lasse Hoile: a special Blank Planet Introduction short film, the uncensored version of the Fear of a Blank Planet promo video and the full-length, 17-minute film for Anesthetize as seen during the band’s live shows. Surround engineering on this band-produced project was Steven Wilson, with Darcy Proper handling surround mastering duties.
