Farber Sound (Medina, Minn.) provided the live audio system for the July 21 Family Values Tour concert in Somerset, Wisc., at the Float-Rite Park Amphitheater. The primary rental sound provider for the tour is Clair Bros./Showco, except for the Somerset date, where Farber Sound brought out its JBL VerTec rig.

Stock Audio & Light (Geleen, The Netherlands) provided dual EAW UX8800 digital processors with EAW KF760 Series line arrays for a memorial concert by the Limburg Symphony Orchestra that marked the liberation of the Netherlands in World War II; Jo Smeets handled front-of-house duties…Heather Boyce, Brennan Wilkins, Spencer Cordes, Lindsay Mescher and Stephen Jacobs each received a $1,000 scholarship from the NSCA Education Foundation…Production company Sticha Brothers brought out a Martin Audio rig for the recent Concerts on the Square in Madison, Wisc.…The newly opened O2 Arena (London) boasts a Harman HiQnet networked audio system installed by AEG…Baltimore-based Maryland Sound International updated its rental inventory with a new pair of Studer Vista 5 SR digital live production consoles, which were unveiled at this year's AES show…Miguel Lourtie has joined Meyer Sound's European Technical Services group, where he will be providing technical support and design services, as well as be an instructor in the company's education program…The recently wrapped-up Bad Boys of Rock tour used an Electro-Voice P.A. deployed by LD Systems.
