Guitarist Allan Holdsworth recently mastered his new two-CD compilaton, Best of Allan Holdsworth: Against the Clock at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood. Holdsworth, widely respected as one of the finest instrumentalists in all of jazz fusion, was awarded Best Guitar Synthesist from 1989 through 1994 in Guitar Player magazine's Readers' Poll and in the '90s, created his own signature guitar model with the Carvin company. Slated for January 2005 release, the new Alternity Records CD set includes remastered tracks previously released on 10 of Holdsworth's solo albums, as well as two new tracks.
