Unrelated Inventions has launched Audiotools 5.0, the latest version of the Windows software for audio recording and audio file conversion and manipulation.

Audiotools works in a WYSIWYG way and allows users to record whatever can be fed into a soundcard directly to disk. With modern, duplex soundcards, users can also record MIDI files or streamed audio from the Internet.

The software can correct sound files for noise reduction, automatically split files into many based on the detected silences or merge many files into one. Other, basic features include CD ripping and file conversion for various audio formats (such as MP3 to .WAV, MP3 to AU, .WMA to MP3, etc.)

Audiotools sells for $25 U.S. for a fully licensed copy and comes with full documentation and customer support.
