Avatar Recording (New York City) welcomes engineer/mixer Kevin Killen (Elvis Costello, Peter Gabriel, U2), now found in his resident fourth-floor studio, and jazz label 411 Records, which shares the second floor with Full Force, to its in-house community.

The studio has also added another Pro Tools|HD rig and Lipinski Sound L-707 speakers to its gear list, two new DW/Pacific CX Series drum sets to its instrument list and overhauled one of its three echo chambers. Avatar’s presence can be heard in such summer films as De-Lovely, The Cole Porter Story and Spider-Man 2. Visit www.avatarstudios.net for more info.
