The Vista 8

TCI, BBC Resources’ flagship television station in London, recently installed one of the largest digital desks built by Studer—a 72-fader Vista 8 audio production console with 516 inputs on a customized L-shaped work surface.

The system, prefabricated at IPE system integrators, was used on its first productions in September. This is the second Vista 8 for the BBC, which was already using this type of console in one of its larger radio OBVs.

The Vista 8 console, which is fully equipped for 5.1 surround sound working and dynamic automation, is currently being used on a wide range of TV programs and will be used on an upcoming telethon.
