Cakewalk announces upcoming features for Version 2.5 of its Project5 software synth workstation, including Active Controller Technology (ACT), support for control surfaces and multiple audio inputs and outputs, and integrated VST hosting.
It also offers pre- and post-effects sends, input quantize, integrated MIDI output and third-party audio editor support, and promises improved automation, independent track sizing and enhancements to its user interface. Project5 Version 2.5 is also compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista.
Version 2.5 will be available as a free download to registered Project5 Version 2.x customers.
