Gepco International will introduce the HDRA, a two-rackspace hybrid fiber distribution rack for on-site installation of SMPTE hybrid fiber interconnections, at NAB 2006 (booth C5733). Each hybrid fiber connector is broken out to separate, single-mode fiber ST connectors and an electrical 5-pin connector. This component-level breakout allows the camera interconnect to be run over separate fiber optic and electrical cable elements. Component-level termination enables simplified ST and electrical termination methods. The HDRA is expandable up to four channels. In addition, 5- and 6-channel versions are available on special order.
