Barber Shop Studios’ president Mark Salamone (left) and producer Dave Hyman

Engineer/producer Dave Hyman booked the Barber Shop Studios (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.) to provide a remix and additional production for dancehall artist Elephant Man’s hit, “The Way We Roll,” featuring Busta Rhymes and Shaggy. The remix was co-produced by Hyman and Cipha Sounds with A&R man Willie Daniels.

Hyman created the remix on the Barber Shop’s 72-channel Solid State Logic XL 9000 K Series console. “It was great,” Hyman says of the session. “This was my second time working at the Barber Shop. The first time I went there, I fell in love with the place.”
