Izotope announces that Adobe Systems of San Jose, Calif., is licensing iZotope's multiband compressor technology for integration as a standard feature in Adobe Audition Version 2. A single-band version of the plug-in is available to customers who register the product.

The Adobe Multiband Compressor features iZotope signal processing and offers 4-band dynamics, a multimode limiter and an output gain stage. Full control over all parameters and a number of presets are aimed at making dialing in the desired sound or effect quick and easy. Its interface features a unique multiband spectral display, level meters and gain-reduction meters that give the user instant feedback. Its processing algorithms are optimized for low-latency real-time use, while full parameter automation offers additional flexibility.
