At the recent roadshow are, from left, Bennie Faccone, independent recording engineer; Ed Wooley, chief engineer at Firehouse Recording Studio; Candace Stewart, recording engineer at Firehouse Recording Studio; and Casey Stone, independent recording engineer.
Sennheiser launched its new Klein + Hummel roadshow with an event at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios (Los Angeles). The event was tailored to showcase the newest Sennheiser acquisition, German speaker manufacturer Klein + Hummel. An invite-only affair, many top industry engineers attended, including John Nowland, Bennie Faccone, John Hanon, Clark Germain and many others.
On hand was Casey Stone, mixing engineer for film score composer Christophe Beck. He currently uses Klein + Hummel monitors to mix all of his work, including recent soundtracks for Fantastic 4, Elektra and The Pink Panther with Steve Martin. "The 0300 Ds and 0800 subwoofer provide me with an exceptionally wide sound stage with fantastic articulation,” Stone says. “They hold up well against all genres of music and SPL levels. I never hear frequency smearing, even at high volumes and everything translates as expected."
Sennheiser will be hosting future "Klein + Hummel Listening Days" at various high-profile studios throughout the United States in 2006. Contact your local Klein + Hummel dealer for more details.
