Riordan and his team at Levels Audio received the nominations on behalf of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for excellence in providing outstanding sound mixing for projects spanning the reality, comedy and variety categories.
Riordan and Levels Audio received Emmy Award nominations in the categories Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy Or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation (Flight of the Conchords, HBO); Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Or Music Series Or Special (six nominations; American Idol, Fox; and 81st Annual Academy Awards, CBS); and Outstanding Sound Mixing for Nonfiction Programming (two nominations; American Idol, Fox).
“It’s an absolute honor for the entire Levels team to be recognized by the Academy,” says Riordan. “We’ve had an opportunity to collaborate with some of the most brilliant individuals in the business and the end result is something we’re all very proud of.
“We are incredibly thrilled with the outcome of this year's nominations,” Riordan adds. “It is certainly wonderful to receive accolades from your peers for all of your hard work. It is simply an honor.”
