Lexicon Pro has launched the MX400 ($499.95) and MX400XL ($549.95) dual-stereo/surround reverb processors. These new single-rackspace, 4-in/4-out units combine an intuitive front panel design with Lexicon’s “Hardware Plug-In” technology, a unique USB connection and VST/AudioUnits interface for use with software recording platforms. The units also feature a wide array of rich, complex reverb algorithms, delays, effects and dbx dynamics.
The USB “Hardware Plug-In” format allows users to have complete plug-in control over their MX400 within any VST or AudioUnits software environment, enabling users to control all automation and recall parameters exactly as they would with any software plug-in while enjoying the sonic benefits hardware can provide. Equally at home for live applications, the MX400 supplies the FOH/live sound engineer intuitive front panel control with a backlit LCD screen for parameter displays. Connections include TRS balanced I/O (MX400) or XLR I/O (MX400XL). Both products also offer 4-channel surround algorithms.
