Manhattan Center Productions president and general counsel, Peter Ross, announced that the company’s TV1 will soon be back in the market for any television program bookings.

“We are pleased to announce that, after a successful run with ESPN’s Cold Pizza, the studio will soon be ready to house any new show or any existing show looking for a fully integrated facility,” Ross says. “Our upgraded studio and expansive production space served ESPN well for more than three years. We successfully fulfilled the demanding production needs of this live, two-hour per day weekly program. And as we continue to extend our services to ESPN over the next months, our management, studio crew, gear and facility are ready to welcome our next guest.”

The studio is located across from both Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, adjacent to the Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom. Throughout its 13-year history, the studio's long-term clients have included Newstalk Television and Cablevision’s Metro Channel, before ESPN’s arrival in September 2004. "Our facility is unparalleled technically and can cater to a diversity of clients doing any type of production, whether live or taped programming. The immediate support space we can offer, in addition to almost 13,000 square feet of turn-key production offices, makes for a complete package," says Daphne Walter, MCP's director of video production and operations.

Marvin Williams, the company's director of video engineering, adds, “For post-production, there are six Avid suites, one being a Nitris with the full HD package, three Grass Valley NewEdit suites with two Profile XP servers, and a Combustion graphics room with a full 3-D package. And we've just upgraded to a digital Riedel intercom system."

“With all the exciting development plans in the works for this entire area, including the new Moynihan Station, new and expansive commercial and retail rental space across the street, and perhaps a nearby relocation of MSG, we are prepared to do our part to make this area of Midtown a must-see/must-be center of commerce, retail, tourism and entertainment,” Ross says. “For those looking to produce a live daily television program from New York City, the scenery and backdrop simply do not get any better than what our TV1 offers.”
