"Once again, I am very proud that we have such a diverse group of nominees in both our film and television categories. We go out of our way to be as inclusive as possible with our categories and nominees, since so often the work of sound and music editors is overlooked," stated MPSE president David J. Bondelevitch.
The MSPE also reports that legendary sound editor/mixer Walter Murch will present the Inaugural Filmmaker's Award to George Lucas, and supervising sound editor Richard Hymns will present the Career Achievement Award to Gary Rydstrom. All awards will be presented at the 52nd Annual Golden Reel Awards to be held Saturday, February 26th, at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
