This Month in Mix

In the summer of 1996, Native Instruments released Generator, the groundbreaking modular software synthesizer that was later to become the Reaktor platform and the basis for a wealth of innovative software instruments and effects. Now, NI is about to celebrate its 10th birthday, and with it an exciting decade of music software evolution.

The "NI-Versary" celebrations began on July 3 and include a lottery worth more than $18,000 in prizes, as well as a range of special offers that include discounts of up to 66 percent on various NI products.

Until September 10, the following NI-Versary special offers will be available from authorized retailers and in the NI online shop: Absynth 3, priced at $169 instead of $339; FM7, $119 instead of $339; Guitar Combos, $79 instead of $199; and Traktor DJ Studio 3, $119 instead of $279. Update versions of Abysnth 3, Battery 2, B4 II, Guitar Rig 2, Kontakt 2, Reaktor 5 and Traktor DJ Studio 3 will be available at 50 percent off the regular price during the NI-Versary period.

Furthermore, all NI Sound Line products will be offered with up to 60-percent price reduction for registered owners of the respective instruments.

Other NI-Versary special offers include various discounted crossgrades for Kontakt 2 and Kontakt Player product owners, as well as a discounted NI Komplete 3 upgrade for owners of Kontakt, Reaktor and Guitar Rig.

The NI-Versary lottery will take place on the NI Website and will award valuable prizes worth more than $18,000, including a Les Paul custom guitar, an Allen & Heath Xone:3D mixer, a pair of JBL studio monitors, a Doepfer master keyboard, a Fujitsu-Siemens laptop and, as a special prize, a VIP weekend in Berlin with entry to the big NI-Versary party in September.

Further information on these offers and on other NI-Versary specials are available at www.ni-versary.com.
