Neutrik will unveil several new products at NAB 2006 (booth C6033). The Lighted EtherCon (pictured) offers two Lightpipes for 3mm standard LEDs to indicate data transmission and status. The Shielded EtherCon builds on the horizontal B Series chassis connector with a closed metal housing to avoid EMI or crosstalk, and is suitable for data rates up to and including Cat-5e.
The company now offers an assembly kit for its D Series EtherCon chassis connectors (NE8FD) to achieve a waterproof IP54 connection by simply replacing the front plate and pushing the lever with the kit components.
The XX Series right-angle cable connector is available in 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7-pole configurations, featuring a rotatable insert and offering the same features found in Neutrik’s other XX Series products.
The XX Series Translucent Coding Ring allows customized labeling, branding and coding of XX Series connectors. An individual colored and/or lettered paper or tape can be placed inside the ring, which provides protection for the label. The Translucent Coding Ring can be put onto a fully assembled cable; de-soldering is not required.
