Roland has introduced its flagship DS-8/7/5 active reference series monitors, which feature premium-grade discrete amp circuits and film capacitors. The new DS line is suited for professional and project studios, fixed and mobile broadcast facilities and other recording/mixing environments.

The DS Series offers 24-bit audio handling (up to 192 kHz), and each monitor is equipped with digital (AES/EBU, co-ax and optical) and analog inputs (Neutrik 1/4-inch/XLR).

The power switch is located on the front panel, and the heat-sink power amplifier is fully compatible with IEC60065 safety standards.

Roland also announced the new CM-30 CUBE monitor, which delivers 30 watts of audio through a 6.5-inch coaxial two-way speaker with stereo preamp.

Each CM-30 is equipped with three input channels, onboard 2-band EQ, one XLR mic/line input and two additional aux RCA and stereo mini-phone inputs, for a total of five (four stereo and one mono input) simultaneous inputs possible. The Stereo Link function allows two CM-30s to be linked, enabling a total of 10 inputs.

Other features include a built-in handle grip, protective metal grille cover, cabinet corner protectors, stereo headphone jack and mic stand adaptor.
