Hollywood-based post facility SonicPool—specializing in audio and video finishing, edit suite rentals and media duplication—has announced its latest concert DVD projects. The announcement was made by John Frost and Patrick Bird, co-founders/supervising sound mixers at SonicPool.
SonicPool has recently completed three 5.1 sweetening projects for concert DVD releases through its client, the L.A.-based production company Parallel 28. The DVD releases are from John Fogerty, Seal and Sheryl Crow.
Regarding working with SonicPool, Martin Atkins, director of the three DVD projects cited above, said, "I love the work they’ve done for us on the concert films and commercials. We’re eager to bring them more of the same kind of work." Added James Pluta, producer of the three DVD projects, "I'm proud to work with SonicPool because they work so hard to make the projects the best they can be. They leave nothing untouched and refuse to accept that something is 'good enough.'"
