The Event Room at Dale Pro Audio, site of the forthcoming John Storyk presentation
In one of the first of an on-going series of industry events planned for the new Dale Pro Audio technology showroom/demo complex in New York City, John Storyk, principal designer and architect at Walters-Storyk Design Group, will speak on “Architecture and Acoustics of Small Critical Listening Environments” on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The recently opened, state-of-the-art complex encompasses the entire 20,000 sq. ft. 2nd floor of 22 West 19th Street in Manhattan.
“There is an element of irony to this talk,” Dale Pro Audio owner Michael Lager remarks. “As designer/acoustician for our new facility he is intimately familiar with the many technical issues addressed to maximize its full acoustic potential.”
Storyk’s presentation will cover current ideas and trends specific to small and medium-sized audio production environments. New modeling prediction and measurement software and developments in products and materials will also be addressed.
The new Dale Pro Audio facility features four distinct demo rooms: Digidesign’s ICON Console with Pro Tools in a surround 5.1 environment; Digital Audio Workstations; Critical Listening/Monitors/ Consoles and a Microphone/mic pre Comparison Room. There is no charge for the event, but attendance is limited 50 guests. To reserve a seat please call Jamey Sussman at Dale Pro Audio, 212/ 475-1124.
