This Month in Mix
SugarHill Recording Studios’ (Houston) president Dan Workman will present a seminar at the Apple Store in The Woodlands, Texas, on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., as part of Apple Computer’s “Made on a Mac” series. Workman will focus on using Apple hardware running audio applications such as Apple’s Logic Pro and GarageBand, and Digidesign’s Pro Tools for audio and music production.
Workman has co-owned and managed SugarHill since the ’90s. His production credits include Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé, ZZ Top, Lyle Lovett, Smash Mouth, Sarah Sharp and Clay Walker. Workman also serves the NARAS Board of Governors for the Texas Grammy Chapter.
Event organizer Nino Batista has been training home recordists on Apple’s audio and music software products.
"We are very excited and honored to welcome Dan Workman and the legendary SugarHill Studios to present at our store. If you're going to do a presentation or demo on Mac audio/music production in Texas, there simply isn't a better choice than Workman and SugarHill,” Batista says. “This should promise to be an amazing event.”
The presentation will take place in the store’s studio space area, where attendees are invited to participate in an open Q&A to address all of their recording concerns.
