Sumthing Else Music Works Inc., through its licensing relationship with Microsoft Game Studios, has released Fable Original Soundtrack featuring the "Fable Theme" by Danny Elfman and musical score by Russell Shaw. The soundtrack from the Xbox roleplaying adventure game, developed by Peter Molyneux and Lionhead Studios, is available at U.S. retail outlets through Nile Rodgers’ Sumthing Else Music Works label, www.sumthing.com.

Russell Shaw, audio director and composer at Lionhead Studios, expanded on Elfman’s theme to create the epic and wholly immersive orchestral soundtrack for the “ultimate roleplaying adventure gaming experience.” Shaw’s previous scoring credits include Black And White.

Fable has received the Game of the Year award from Play Magazine and Role Playing Game of the Year from the Spike TV Awards. Fable also recently received industry honors for its music, including the Outstanding Achievement in Original Musical Composition award at the Eighth Annual Interactive Achievement Awards ceremony, hosted by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) at the D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas. In addition the music in Fable has won Best Score from Xbox Nation Magazine and from Play Magazine.
