TDL Technology Inc. has announced their Model 408 Mains Powered Stereo Phono Preamp, which is specially designed to drive a sound card’s line-input for restoring 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm records that were recorded using various equalizations. A variety of response curves can be set with the two rotary switches; one for turnover frequency and the other for rolloff frequency.
The Model 408 uses low-noise opamps and features very low output noise and low power line hum pickup. Main operation is from a 24 VDC “wall wart” supply that plugs into any U.S. standard 115 VAC, 60 Hz outlet.
Single quantity price is $253 USD plus shipping. A full data sheet and user guide in PDF format can be downloaded at www.tdl-tech.com.
