Telefunken USA announces the Ela M250E ($6,995) and Ela M250F ($4,995) microphone kits, which are based on the classic Telefunken Ela M250. Originally marketed in 1959 by Telefunken of Germany, the Ela M250 is a two-pattern (cardioid and omni) version of the Ela M251, and shares the same circuitry and sonic performance of vintage tube microphones.
The Ela M250E comes with a GE JAN 6072a tube, a new CK12 dual-membrane capsule, custom-wound Haufe transformer, vintage-style power supply, 10-meter Gotham Audio cable, locking leather-bound flight case, wooden microphone box, owner’s manual and five-year warranty. The Ela M250F microphone system comes with a GE JAN 6072a tube, a new TK12 dual-membrane capsule, a custom-wound Haufe transformer, modern-style power supply, wooden microphone box, 10-meter Gotham Audio cable, owner’s manual and one-year warranty.
The Ela M250 system will be shown at the upcoming October 2006 AES convention in San Francisco in booth #1433.
