Unitonic announced the release of its Aurora 2.0 ($699) plug-in synth for Pro Tools|HD Accel systems running on the Mac platform (an update supporting the Windows XP platform is scheduled for release later this year). Aurora 2.0 includes more than 300 preset patches and fuses additive synthesis with frequency/pulse and noise modulation and non-linear wave distortion. Parametric sequencers, looping envelopes and user-programmable waveforms can be generated within the Pro Tools TDM environment. Aurora 2.0 also offers a redesigned and expanded user interface, with multiple edit modes and detailed graphic displays.

Aurora is available for download from Unitonic’s Website www.unitonic.com or from any authorized Pro Tools dealer.
