Universal Audio announced the Web launch of Version 4.1 software for the UAD-1 DSP Card and Powered Plug-Ins system. Version 4.1 includes a 14-day fully functional demo of the third in the Precision Mastering Series: the Precision Multiband plug-in (pictured). Full authorizations of the Precision Multiband plug-in may be purchased by registered UAD-1 customers for $249 from my.uaudio.com.

Features include five bands of dynamic range control, including compression, expansion or gate; comprehensive control of gain, ratio, threshold, attack, release and bandwidth; two filter bank modes (Linear Phase and Minimum Phase); sample rates up to 96 kHz; per-band bypass, solo and mute controls, as well as blobal parameter copy and edit; and visualization of dynamic EQ response and color-coded bands for at-a-glance editing.
