The Gotan Project at the entrance to The Village, located in a former Masonic Temple built in the 1920s in West Los Angeles.

Gotan Project, an international collaboration of tango and electronica artists based in Paris, visited The Village (L.A.) in late August for a live-to-air performance on local NPR station KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic show. The band—which features acoustic guitar, strings, piano, accordion and vocals superimposed over electronic beats—set up in the facility's Neve 8048–equipped Studio A, with Jason Wormer engineering and Ghian Wright assisting. KCRW's Ariana Morgenstern produced the session.

Gotan Project is led by Argentinean guitarist Eduardo Makaroff, Parisian producer Philippe Cohen Solal and Swiss-born producer Christoph H. Müller. Two nights prior to the broadcast, they performed a sold-out show at the 18,000-seat Hollywood Bowl. The 10-piece band is currently touring in support of their new album, Lunatico. Gotan Project's music was featured in the movie Shall We Dance (starring Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez) and has been heard on U.S. TV shows such as Sex and the City and Nip/Tuck.
