Dynacord introduced the new Xa-2™ System, a modular, high-performance audio system designed for multiple applications, from jazz clubs to indoor/outdoor high-power applications, including rock concerts, club and mobile DJ events. The Xa-2 System is capable of delivering an SPL in excess of 130 dB and a long throw of up to approximately 150 feet. Xa-2 System components include the Xa-4000™ active two-way power amplifier, Fx12™ top and Fx20™ sub.
Also recently introduced by the company are PowerMate™1000 (six mic/line, four mic/stereo line) and Powermate™1600 (12 mic/line and four mic/stereo line) powered mixers. The discrete microphone preamps on the PowerMate 1000 and PowerMate 1600 combine high audio quality with low noise and distortion. Features include ergonomically designed gain controls with a range of 60 dB, group-switchable phantom power, vocal voicing filters, 3-band EQ with semi-parametric mids, four aux sends, PFL, mute, dust-proof ALPS faders, 2x 7-band graphic EQs, feedback filters and four stereo channels.
Integrated high-efficiency Class-H power amplifiers deliver 2x700 watts into 4 ohms and 2x870 watts into 2.66 ohms with minimal heat build-up. All of the protective circuits found on Dynacord’s 19-inch amplifiers are included, such as protection against overheating, short circuits, DC voltage, and HF and back EMF protection. An LPN filter and a super-fast dynamic audio limiter are also featured.
Also introduced were Dynacord’s PowerMate, which features two parallel and individually controlled 24-bit stereo digital effects devices with 48-bit algorithms. It offers a total of 2x99 live-optimized presets. User-friendly up/down keys are used to select between room reverb, plate reverb, echo reverb, chorus reverb, mono/stereo delay, modulated delay effects (such as chorus and flanger) and other special effects.
