Mackie has announced the upcoming release of TT24 expansion cards, which will be available for delivery during Q2 2005, as well as a digital snake designed specifically for use with the TT24. TT24 firmware Version 1.2 is now available as a free download from www.mackie.com.
Version 1.2 offers a total of 10 new features, including three built-in 31-band graphic equalizers (left/right/center channel outputs), eight dedicated mute groups, scrolling snapshots for faster access and a user-customizable fader bank for improved workflow.
In addition, snapshot filtering capabilities have been added to the TT24’s Quick Mix section. Channel DSP can now be globally assigned to either the analog bank or to the digital bank—convenient for mixing down pre-recorded performances from digital recorders. Users can also streamline their mixing capabilities by selecting from three individual V-Pot response profiles. And an internal effects preset dial now includes an easy-to-read display and associated rotary encoder for quicker auditioning and selection of effects presets.
The UFXII DSP card offers 24 additional channels of EQ and compression, for a total of 48 fully DSP functional channels. The new U100 console networking card enables the TT24 to communicate with proprietary external devices, such as a second TT24 for dual-console integration.
The new digital snake, specifically for use with the TT24, offers up to 32x32 channels of I/O and interfaces with a U100-equipped TT24 via standard Cat-5 cable. The digital snake features 24 mic preamps and converters in a stage box, and provides remote control of the input gain from the TT24 console.
