The 16th annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards show at The Wiltern LG (Los Angeles, Calif.), sponsored by Clear Channel Entertainment, honored industry newcomers and veterans alike.

The event, held February 4, 2005, was hosted by Lewis Black. Prince shocked attendees when he walked onstage to accept his major tour of the year honor in person. Prince offered thanks to promoters John Meglen and Paul Gongaware of Concerts West/AEG Live for making last year his most successful tour ever.

Two dozen agents joined Rob Light onstage as Creative Artists Agency won agency of the year for the third time. Little Big Man Booking also won Boutique Booking Agency of the Year. In addition, Harvey Leeds was named Artist Development Executive of the Year, and Rock-It Cargo won Best Transportation Company.

Winners included: Major Tour of the Year: Prince; Most Creative Tour Package: Bob Dylan/Willie Nelson; Most Creative Stage Production: Prince; Best New Touring Artist: Josh Groban; Music Festival of the Year: Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival; International Music Festival of the Year: Glastonbury Festival; Nightclub of the Year: House Of Blues, W. Hollywood; and more.
