SIA Software introduced its new Smaart I-O, a dedicated USB interface designed specifically to work with the company's Smaart measurement and analysis software. Smaart I-O helps to simplify measurement rig setup, and expand and enhance the software's functionality.
Smaart I-O offers two input channels, one for a measurement mic input and one for a measurement reference signal, with programmable preamps featuring 61 dB of variable gain in 0.5dB steps. The mic input uses a balanced XLR connector with switchable 48V phantom power, while the line input uses a balanced ¼-inch XLR Combo connector.
The Smaart I-O also features a mono signal output via a balanced XLR connector with a switchable internal signal loop-back feature, which routes the output signal directly to the line input channel. Utilizing high-quality 24-bit, 48kHz converters, the unit's input and output functions are all controlled from within the Smaart software environment, including input gains, phantom power and output signal loop-back.
The Smaart I-O package includes the new SmaartRTA software, a reduced-feature version of its SmaartLive measurement software, as well as a stand-alone control interface application and a control .dll for use within the SmaartLive Version 5 program.
