Sennheiser (booth #6766, Hall A) will announce the Evolution e840 professional cardioid vocal microphone. Insensitive to feedback and featuring excellent vocal projection, the e840 dynamic microphone fits between the e835 and the e845 in the Evolution range.
The e840 has been engineered to cut through high onstage levels by efficiently suppressing sounds emanating from outside its pickup pattern and providing high gain before feedback. It is additionally fitted with a hum-compensating coil to reduce electromagnetic interference. The rugged metal housing, finished in gray with a gray basket, encloses a shock-mounted capsule, resulting in a durable microphone that is intended for live performance.
The Evolution e840 is supplied in a protective pouch with an MZQ800 microphone clip.
Anthony Buzzeo, Sennheiser's product manager for wired microphones, noted, "The MI market just loves the Evolution line. As a value-added performer, the e840 addition gives dealers and rental companies another option to satisfy the ever-growing demand for this brand."
The Evolution e840 retails for $189. For more information, please go to www.sennheiserusa.com. For more sound reinforcement products, visit mixonline.com/livesound/products.
