XTA Electronics recently unveiled the DP428, a new digital signal processor designed for digitally interfacing and managing large system. Providing powerful control options, the DP428 offers 4x8 matrix capability, 48dB crossover slopes and a host of EQ solutions. There are four inputs, each offering gain control, a 28-band graphic EQ, eight filters and a delay. Eight outputs each have gain control, polarity switching, delay, high/lowpass filtering and up to nine filters. Any input can be routed to any combination of outputs, plus all Ins and Outs can be phase-adjusted in two-degree steps. The crossover offers a choice of two types and 6/12/18/24/48dB per octave roll-off. Two-stage RMS and Clip/D-max limiters are available, with look-ahead for the clip limiter attack time.
Also introduced at the show was the Walkabout Kit, a complete wireless solution that provides control over XTA’s DP Series of loudspeaker and dynamics products via a WiFi Ethernet link.
The Walkabout Kit interfaces with the company’s DP226, DP224, DP6i and SiDD products, and features a powerful NetGear WiFi card for extended range and improved stability over WLAN systems built into laptop or notepad PCs. This is combined with a Wiser WLAN-to-Serial converter, which is programmed at XTA to maximize its speed when working with AudioCore, a new version of XTA’s computer interface that works with TCP/IP.
New firmware has been developed by XTA for the DP226, DP224, DP6i and SiDD, so re-programming the Wiser basic configuration settings is fast and easy. For even faster setup, users can access factory presets and be up and running in minutes. An included PC utility provides comprehensive setup access.
