Crown has added HiQnet and CobraNet™ networking options for its CTs 4200a and CTs 8200 amplifier models. These models ordered with the networking option can connect to a 100Mbps Ethernet network using standard Ethernet hardware (switches, network interface cards and cables), allowing them to be remotely controlled and monitored via Harman Pro System Architect software.
In addition, real-time digital audio can be transported over the same Ethernet network via CobraNet, providing a single-plug solution for audio distribution, control and monitoring.
Larry Baker, director of marketing for installed sound at Crown, comments, “With the addition of full network audio transport and system control capabilities to the CTs multichannel amplifiers, the CTs Series offers unrivaled flexibility for systems requiring networked audio for multiple zones, which are common in today’s designs.”
