dbx's DriveRack® 4820 ($2,999.95) system processor is now shipping. The 4820 shares many features to the DriveRack 4800, as well as a blank front panel and a host of new algorithms, including selectable DSP inserts on the inputs and outputs, a wealth of EQ, delay, compression and limiting, bandpass and crossover filters.
With four inputs and eight outputs, the unit also features a 96kHz processing engine and standard digital I/O, and an optional CobraNet card.
In addition, the 4820 incorporates Harman Professional’s HiQnet™ protocol. The HiQnet control backbone is able to monitor and control signal routing, as well as the processing of multiple DriveRack 4820 units, along with any other HiQnet-enabled product. HiQnet control extends to the new System Architect™ GUI, which provides full control of all system functions and offers the ability to create user-assignable groups along with customized control panels.
