This Month in Mix

Housed in a lightweight (12 kg) 2U chassis, the 4-channel C 88:4 network-controlled install amplifier supplies 8,800 watts of total output. Up to 2,200W per discrete channel are available at 2 ohms, 2,100W per channel at 4 ohms and 4,600W are available through two bridged output pairs at 4 ohms. The C 88:4 will ship this month at $5,595 MSRP.

Using Lab.gruppen’s proprietary Voltage Peak Limiting, the C 88:4 can be quickly configured for operation with four channels, three channels (one bridged pair) or two channels (both pairs bridged). Each output can be individually tailored for either low-impedance or high-impedance (70/100V) systems.

The C 88:4 retains all other features of the C Series, including the patented Class TD amplifier topology, Regulated Switch Mode Power Supply™ (R.SMPS), Phoenix-type input connectors, screw terminal output connectors, Intercooler® heat dissipation and a proprietary voltage peak limiter for optimizing each output channel for the connected load. A suite of seven protection circuits ensures reliable operation and a long service life.

The C 88:4 includes the NomadLink® network module as standard. NomadLink is a robust, easy-to-configure network that monitors all key amplifier parameters and permits remote control of power on/off and channel mutes. NomadLink uses the separate NLB 60E network bridge and the DeviceControl software application.
