AES Convention live sound chair Larry the O has assembled a full list of sound reinforcement–focused events, including keynote speaker front-of-house engineer Robert Scovill; and panel discussions on amplifying large-scale theatrical sound design, the business of touring sound and a host of other issues.

On Thursday, October 5, moderator Dave Shadoan of Sound Image chairs "The Business of Touring Sound" panel, which featuring Bruce Eisenberg, Audio Analysts; Derek Featherstone, Ultra Sound; Dan Scheirman, JBL Professional; and Dan Cleland, Nettwerk Management. They will discuss the crunch touring sound companies face at a time when equipment costs seem to be increasing in inverse proportion to the length of time it remains in demand by clients.

Also that day is "Wireless Microphone Issues: Frequency Coordination & The Impact of FCC Rule Changes" with James Stoffo, Professional Wireless Systems. The panel includes Gary Stanfill, Colmar Systems; Edgar Riehl, Shure; Volker Schmitt, Sennheiser; and Dave Bellamy of Soundtronicc.

On Friday, October 6, "Electroacoustic Enhancement Systems" will be moderated by Kurt Graffy, ARUP Acoustics, with panelists Steve Barbar, LARES Associates; Steve Ellison, Meyer Sound; Takayuki Watanabe, Yamaha; and Peter D’Antonio, RPG Inc.

Also slated that day is "Case Studies in Digital Audio Distribution for Fixed Installation."

Events for Saturday, October 7, include: "Digital Audio in Touring and Concert Sound Reinforcement" and "Live Sound for Mega Events."

"Touring System Design and Tuning" and "Large-Scale Theatrical Sound Design" will be held on Sunday, October 8.
