Mackie's Quad Series digital processors offer 24-bit signal purity with user interfaces designed for live sound. The Quad EQ ($1,199.99) is a 4-channel/30-band digital graphic equalizer that combines onboard SIA Smaart real-time analysis (RTA) and SPL metering.
The front panel's 31 bi-color LED ladders let users view RTA and EQ settings simultaneously for visual reinforcement of EQ changes and their effect on the sound system. Quad EQ includes a reference mic for RTA and SPL monitoring, A/B/C-weighted SPL metering, built-in pink-noise generator, XLR and TRS analog I/Os and 99 user snapshots to store settings.
The $999.99 Quad Comp/Gate has four channels of compression/limiting and expansion/gating with faster attack settings, 99 user presets, built-in key filters, a Key Listen feature and an Auto mode to eliminate pumping effects.
