After joining L-Acoustics Rental Network, P.A. rental company MSI Japan took delivery of a K1/KUDO system and LA-RAK touring racks with LA8 amplified controllers.

"I flew over to France with MSI vice president Motoshige Nishio and listened to the K1 system at L-Acoustics," says MSI director Shuzo Fujii. "The moment I heard the system, I immediately knew I would be buying it, and we were given the opportunity to become part of the pilot program."

The K1 system made its Japanese (and Asian) debut with male artist Masaharu Fukuyama, who has embarked on a three-month arena tour of the country. Official L-Acoustics trainer and consultant Sherif el Barbari traveled to Japan to carry out some training with the new K1/KUDO system prior to the tour.

"Having just used the K1 system for the first time, I think it's great!" says Fujii after the first concert. "It has the most advanced rigging system, which shortens the setup time for us and means we can do our job not only quickly but safely. As for sound quality, the mid-high for vocals is extremely smooth, and the sound was clear and full-bodied, even right at the back of the venue."
