NSCA has released a preview of its agenda for the 9th Annual Fall Business Conference, set to take place October 26 to 28, 2006, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., at the Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort at Grand Dunes. This year, the conference theme is "Improving the Health of Your Business." Each course during the conference has been assigned a number of Learning Units that can be accumulated toward a Certificate of Completion from the NSCA University.
"The Fall Business Conference has always been an event focused on providing attendees with new ideas and practices that they can implement as soon as they get back to the office," says Chuck Wilson, NSCA executive director. "Now they'll also take home a chance to earn a Certificate of Completion in recognition of their efforts to improve their businesses."
A networking recreation activity is planned for October 26: golf at the Myrtlewood Palmetto Course. This year's Beer ’n’ Bull session will be less about the latter and more about "convergence, business and change," discussing the impact of convergence and the changes that will follow. Join Barbara Sullivan from Cisco Systems, along with experts from the manufacturing and building management spectrums, as they discuss how convergence is currently affecting their businesses and how it will affect you in the near future.
Those businesses that have demonstrated success through the implementation of progressive business practices will have a chance to share their stories on the first night of the FBC, during the Third annual Excellence in Business Awards.
Right now, NSCA is seeking contractor companies with best-in-class business strategies for this portion of the program. Visit www.fallbiz.org/awards.asp to find out more and read profiles of last year’s winners.
