Part of WorxAudio Technologies' TrueLine Series, the V8-PMD1 ($6,822) is a powered, two-way, high-efficiency line array loudspeaker, and is designed as an ultra-compact, high-performance system for the reproduction of speech and music program material.

This loudspeaker incorporates a large-format, 3-inch voice coil compression driver coupled to a stabilized proprietary FlatWave™ Former (wave-shaping device) that delivers clear but penetrating high frequencies over a predictable and controlled coverage area. Dual 8-inch cone transducers coupled to the Acoustic Intergrading Module (A.I.M.™) minimize cone filtering throughout the entire operating range and provide a rich, fully balanced sound.

The V8-PMD1’s enclosure is constructed from sturdy multi-ply Baltic Birch and is heavily braced for cabinet rigidity. Protecting the enclosure is a multi-layered, catalyzed polyurethane finish that is available in dark gray or black. A 14-guage, perforated, cloth-backed, powder-coated steel grille with a high-transmission ratio protects the transducer complement. The V8-PMD1’s custom-designed, black-anodized, aluminum TrueAim™ rigging hardware with 1-degree increments enables the user to easily array the system to the desired coverage area in flown or ground-stack mode.

Designed for use with the V8-PMD1 is the company's PMD-1 digital power amp. Housed in the rear of the enclosure, the PMD-1 features 500 watts for the low frequencies and 250W for the highs, and incorporates twin digital program processors, a mute switch for each output, a detented volume control, an XLR transformer with isolated I/O and AC PowerCon switchgear I/O.

The V8-PMD1 is now available.
