It is an extremely light and rugged microphone, making it ideal for mounting onto cameras or camcorders. 56 Central Ave. DPA TYPE 4041-T2 TUBE MIC: The DPA Type 4041-T2 uses the MMC4041 1-inch modular omni cartridge with the MMP4000-T2 tube preamplifier. The cartridge can be unscrewed from the electronics to swap with other preamplifier modules. Frequency response is rated from 10 to 20k Hz with a 4 to 6dB soft boost around 8 kHz that matches the response of DPA’s acclaimed Type 4040 hybrid mic. The 4041-T2 is powered via the standard HMA5000 Microphone Amplifier (not included with the 4041-S), and offers a transformerless audio path with a maximum noise floor of 10 dBA and 144dB SPL handling. NAB Booth: N506. DPA WINDPAC MICROPHONE WINDSHIELD SYSTEM: DPA’s Windpac is an ultra-lightweight, multi-mic–compatible, wind-proofing solution for location recording. Comprised of just two components—a shock-mount and a collapsible windshield—Windpac is effective, convenient and easy to use. MIC MATE: The Mic Mate fits onto the hot-shoe of nearly any video camera such as the Sony PD150. The Mic Mate holds the receivers out of the camera operator’s way with good antenna sight lines and allows the camera user to orient the receivers vertically or horizontally. NEUMANN BCM 705: The BCM 705 is Neumann’s first dynamic microphone in the company’s 77-year history and the second microphone in the new broadcast line. The BCM 705 utilizes a Neumann re-designed version of the Sennheiser MD 431 capsule, and is housed in the same body as the BCM 104. Along with the debut of the BCM 705 is the introduction of a new green-colored Neumann badge that designates the microphone as a dynamic. NAB Booth: N2822. OKM BINAURAL STEREO HEADSET MICS: These omnidirectional electret mics offer outstanding spatial characteristics, using computer-matched pairs of top-quality microphone systems that are uniquely appropriate for live music and environmental recording. CX, PX and RX models are available in various sensitivities. An “S” (studio) option is available for capsules channel-matched within 0.5 dB, resulting in superior stereo imaging. PEARL MICROPHONE LAB CT/DT-40: The CT40 uses a fixed-cardioid capsule, while the DT40 model offers a choice of five different polar patterns, making this microphone ideal for many recording applications. These mics use the classic Pearl dual-rectangular capsule, which allows them to achieve a very flat frequency response. The capsule is mounted in silicone and then supported on a cone to prevent sound reflections. Further, the microphones are powered by a traditionally designed circuit using a Nuvistor vacuum tube and high-quality transformer. NAB Booth: N4522. PEARL MICROPHONE LAB ELM-B/C: Pearl has made rectangular capsules for many years now but never before with such an extreme (7:1) length/width ratio. The new linear capsule has more than twice the surface area of large-diameter round capsules, giving excellent signal/noise ratio, but avoids their high levels of in-band resonance. Therefore, this new microphone can deliver a very accurate, uniform and consistent response pattern, with very flat response, low noise and useful attenuation of “nuisance” reflections. The capsule is used in the new models ELM-B (figure-8) and ELM-C (cardioid), and is highly recommended for stereo recording. Retail: $2,000 to $2,425. NAB Booth: N4522. RYCOTE UNDERCOVERS AND OVERCOVERS: Undercovers are designed to affix lavalier microphones to skin and clothing while reducing both wind and rustle noise. Undercovers include 30 disposable adhesive pads with six reuseable fur covers (two of each: black, gray and white) and are great for lavalier miking under clothing. NAB Booth: M3232. SANKEN MICROPHONES COS-22 DUAL-CAPSULE LAVALIER: The new COS-22 is the world’s first dual-capsule lavalier mic. In the tradition of the popular Sanken COS-11s lavalier, the ultraminiature COS-22 measures only 1.25 inches in length but boasts a full frequency response up to 20,000 Hz. The 2-channel, dual-omnidirectional COS-22 is designed for a variety of applications, including stereo and boundary-style miking and for live broadcasting. SENNHEISER AC 3000 ACTIVE ANTENNA COMBINER: Sennheiser’s AC 3000 is an active antenna combiner for wireless monitoring applications with up to eight transmitters connected to one common transmitter antenna. The ASA 3000 is suitable for the entire UHF range, but can be optionally equipped with selective input filter modules to narrow the input frequency range.
