Operator is a new software synthesizer instrument optimized for use inside Live 4, Ableton’s real-time music production platform. Operator’s core voice architecture comprises four oscillators and a resonant multimode filter, allowin subtractive and frequency modulation (FM) synthesis. A set of presets—sorted by category—get the user started. Macro controls can then modify overall sonic character. HAGSTROM AMERICAN CUSTOM GUITARS
Hagstrom is expanding its line with three American-made solid-body electric guitars custom-crafted by luthier David Lee, including the Super Swede (pictured) in a “single malt” finish, the Swede in a “dirty blonde” finish (MSRP $3,950 for both models) and a Midnight Ebony in a deluxe finish ($2,950). All U.S. guitars are available either with AAA quilt tops ($3,950), flame tops ($3,499) or standard finishes ($2,950).
HAGSTROM STANDARD SERIES
New Hagstrom Standard Series models include the HB200 four-string bass (MSRP $550, in cherry, natural mahogany or black). A left-handed version will be available.
