ADK Microphones Vienna II-AU
ADK Microphones is now shipping its new model A6, a large-diaphragm studio condenser with a transformer output and low-noise, Class-A electronics offering improved audio performance over ADK's standard Vienna and Hamburg models. This single-pattern cardioid design is voiced with a sound that falls between the darker, more mellow Vienna and the brighter Hamburg mics.
Also now available from ADK (with new shock-mounts) is the Custom Shop AU Series. Designed in Belgium and built in the U.S., the Vienna II-AU (pictured) and Hamburg II-AU are high-performance models featuring Australian-made capsules, British Oxford transformers and a high-end Philips FET providing gradual soft saturation. Both also include -8/-16dB pads and handle SPLs up to 143 dB. These limited-production Vienna II-AU and Hamburg II-AU mics retail at $1,695 each.
