The 123rd Audio Engineering Society Convention Committee is finalizing preparations for this year’s event in New York City’s Javits Center (pictured) from October 5-8. To aid attendees in planning their visits, the AES has posted a detailed preliminary calendar of events here. The full-color schedule includes program titles, participants and drop-down boxes containing indispensable information.

“The 123rd looms as one of the most exciting and information-intensive events in our 59-year history,” says AES Executive Director Roger Furness. “The Committee has developed a far-ranging and extremely contemporary program. Workshops, papers, tutorials, technical tours, platinum, broadcast, live sound, student, historical and special events have all been focused on informing and inspiring our attendees.”

Committee chair Jim Anderson adds, “While there may be some last-minute shuffling of times, locations and dates, the preliminary calendar will provide attendees with an extremely accessible overview of what we believe is an outstanding technical program. Planning their schedules around this template should simplify and optimize their convention experience. Attendees should also use the www.aes.org site to book hotel reservations at reduced rates.”
