Dutch loudspeaker manufacturer, Alcons Audio, announces the formation of Alcons Audio USA., which will bring the company’s range of Pro-Ribbon solutions—point source, line source and line array—to the U.S. market.

David Rahn and business development specialist Pauline Ortiz y Pino will head Alcons Audio USA. Rahn was most recently national sales manager at Renkus Heinz. Rahn and Ortiz y Pino will be based in Dana Point, Calif.

“What intrigued me most about this opportunity was not only the reputation that Alcons Audio has developed in such a short time, but the technology behind the Alcons Audio loudspeaker systems,” Rahn says.

"We are honored to have been chosen to join the Alcons Audio team and to introduce this evolutionary product to North America," adds Ortiz y Pino. "The reception to the brand around the world has been incredible and this is the perfect time to establish the company’s North American office.”

“The U.S. market is very important,” says Alcons’ co-founder and managing director, Tom Back. “With new market developments—such as 3-D and Digital Cinema, for which our Cinemarray cinema systems are ideal, and the forthcoming LR24 midsize line array with Sentinel amplified controllers for the live sound market—the timing for introducing our pro-ribbon solutions to the U.S. market is perfect. The growth of the company has always been organic and we decided not to enter the U.S. until we were able to establish our own office there, allowing us to provide the comprehensive support our customers deserve.”

“Getting the right people on board was purely a matter of time," Back adds. "With David and Pauline joining us, we’re very happy that we can continue our global development into this pivotal market with a fantastic team in place.”

Alcons Audio USA can be contacted by phone at 949/439-8203. Contact Rahn and Ortiz y Pino via email at rahn@alconsaudio.com and ortizypino@alconsaudio.com, respectively.
